A house fire injures two people, including a firefighter, early Saturday morning.

Dallas Fire Rescue crews said it happened around 2:30 a.m. at a home in the 2000 block of  Echo Drive, just off of C.F. Hawn Freeway in Dallas.

Dallas Fire Rescue spokesman Jason Evans said two men were sleeping when the fire began.

Evans said both of the men made it out safely, but one man in his 60's suffered serious burns and was transported to the hospital.

A firefighter also suffered burns to his legs, but was treated and released from the hospital.

Two pets have been reported missing.

The cause of the fire is still undetermined, but investigators do know that it began in a bedroom located in the rear of the home.
