FWPD: Two suspects arrested after armed robbery at Family Dollar

Employees at a Family Dollar were tied up during an armed robbery in east Fort Worth Saturday night.

Police say two men, dressed as women, robbed the store located on John T. White Road around 9 p.m.

Employees told police the men had guns and used zip ties to keep them from running away.

Police said one of the workers inside the store managed to activate a "panic button," and police were called to the scene.

Police said the two suspects accessed the safe, emptied the safe, and fled out of the back of the business.

Authorities said one of the suspects ran out of the back door and was later located by police.

After reviewing video surveillance, police were able to locate the second suspect hiding inside of the Family Dollar.

No injuries were reported.
