Panther Island Pavilion is ready to go for Tuesday night's Fort Worth's Fourth.

Tens of thousands of people are expected to head to the banks of the Trinity to celebrate with music, fireworks and beautiful scenery.

People showed up early to be able to take in the event.

"Yes, every year we get here early. We stand in the line - the whole shebang out in the heat," said Amanda Hunter.

Hunter arrived at 4:15 p.m. to get a prime spot along the Trinity River.

"This is the best spot, we’re right here where the fireworks go up, and we love it every year," she said.

Fort Worth's Fourth celebration at Panther Island

Fort Worth's Fourth at Panther Island is Tuesday night. There are extra precautions going into place this year after a grassfire cut the celebration short last year.

The City of Fort Worth is taking extra safety measures after a grass fire last year forced the fireworks show to stop early.

It took crews more than an hour to put them all out.

Fort Worth has watered the area for a month to keep things from being as dry as they were last year.

They also brought sand to put out and sparks.
