Fort Worth water main break causes pressure problems

The city of Fort Worth is urging people on the city’s east side to reduce their water usage because of a water main break.

The break happened around 2 a.m. Monday and the water supply began losing pressure afterward. The city wasn’t able to immediately locate the leak because of the darkness and the rain.

The water department tweeted around 8 a.m. that it had finally located near Interstate 30 and Eastchase Boulevard. Now that the area has been shut off, the pressure is starting to recover.

Those living and working between Loop 820 and the DFW Airport are still asked to limit their water use as much as possible.
