State troopers chase suspect from Garland to Fort Worth
FORT WORTH, Texas - State troopers and police from several departments were involved in a high-speed chase from Garland to Fort Worth.
What we know:
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the chase may have started on Wednesday afternoon after state troopers got a tip about a stolen tractor trailer in Garland.
Troopers tried to pull the truck over, but the driver refused to stop.
The suspect drove west on Interstate 30 through Dallas, Arlington, and Fort Worth. He later turned south and stopped along the Chisholm Trail Parkway near McPherson Road.
Images from SKY 4 showed troopers with a shirtless suspect in custody.
DPS identified him as 28-year-old Jeffery Harris of Sapulpa, Oklahoma.
He was arrested for the unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and booked into the Tarrant County jail.
The stolen truck appeared to have a flat tire because of spike strips.
There was no other damage and no one was hurt during the chase.
What we don't know:
Harris' mugshot has not yet been released.
DPS did not say when or where the truck was reported stolen.
