Fort Worth police recover car stolen from mother with child insde

Police say they have recovered a car stolen from a Fort Worth mother over the weekend with her child still inside.

The three suspects approached the car in front of a house on Orange Avenue just before 1 p.m. on Saturday while the mother was taking items into her house.

Police say two males and one female opened one of the doors to the car and pulled a 10-year-old, previously identified by police as a 12-year-old, out of the car.

The child tried to fight back and one of the suspects punched the child in the head.

They then took the car and drove from the scene with a one-year-old child still inside the vehicle.
