Man jumps into Trinity River to save child, does not resurface, officials say
FORT WORTH, Texas - Fort Worth officials recovered the body of a man who jumped into the Trinity River and did not come back up.
Fort Worth fire officials were called to Gateway Park on Sunday.
Crews were told a middle-aged man jumped into the river to save a child and never resurfaced.
Fort Worth Fire says the child is okay.
Emergency crews were called to the scene, including a dive team.
The man's body was found deceased in deeper water.
The man's identity has not been revealed at this time.
