FORT WORTH, Texas - The Fort Worth Fire Department is mourning the sudden loss of a veteran firefighter.
Firefighter Steven Turpin passed away unexpectedly Tuesday night while off duty.
The department did not release any other details about his death.

One person was arrested and charged with reckless driving after a Fort Worth street takeover on Sunday night.
"Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends," FWFD said on its Facebook page.
Turpin served the city for more than 24 years.
