FORT WORTH, Texas - The city of Fort Worth issued an alert about a data breach.
Last June, an investigation determined an unauthorized party gained access to data that included reports from motor vehicle accidents.

"We have decided to make a message toward the U.S. Government, Texas happens to be one of the largest states banning gender-affirming care and for that we have made Texas a target," the hacker group posted, according to the City.
Some of those reports included driver’s license numbers, dates of birth, and medical information.
The city said it has hired a cybersecurity firm to improve security protocols.
