DALLAS, Texas - Firefighters battled a large, 4-alarm house fire in Northwest Dallas Thursday afternoon.
Crews responded to the home on the 5100 block of Spring Meadow Drive after a 911 call came in around 4:15 p.m.
The caller said the home was engulfed in flames.
About 80 firefighters were called out to help with the effort.
There was no one at the home when the fire began, and no injuries were reported.
The home, estimated to be worth about $1.3 million, appears to be a total loss.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
