Driver killed while trying to flee hit-and-run crash
FORT WORTH, Texas - A hit-and-run driver died in a fiery crash early Tuesday morning.
Fort Worth police said it happened around 3 a.m. on the south side of the city.
The driver of a small SUV hit a car at Berry and Hemphill streets and kept going. As he was fleeing the accident, the SUV driver lost control and slammed into a bridge on Morningside Drive.
The man was trapped in his burning SUV and died.
Police are still investigating the crash.
