DFW Airport had most cancelled and delayed flights in the U.S. on Sunday
Dallas-Fort Worth - DFW International Airport reported the highest number of delayed and canceled flights in the country on Sunday.
As of 10 a.m. Monday, more than 40 flights were delayed, according to FlightAware.
Over 20 departing flights were canceled, representing about 5% of scheduled departures.
For arriving flights, 70 were canceled, with several dozen more delayed. In total, just over 100 flights scheduled to land at DFW were unable to do so.
FOX 4’s Paige Ellenberger spoke with travelers affected by the disruptions.
"We waited six or seven hours before they told us we’d have to stay overnight," said Yancy Perez, who was traveling to Los Angeles. "It wasn’t the best experience. This morning, we’re trying to get back home. Hopefully, we can make it out in time."

Meanwhile, at Dallas Love Field, only about 4% of flights were delayed or canceled.
"This was by far the worst I’ve experienced," Perez said.
The delays and cancellations come as winter storms affect more than 20 states across the U.S.
