Surveillance video shows deadly shooting after fight at North Oak Cliff apartments

DALLAS - Surveillance video from a North Oak Cliff apartment complex shows a man shooting and killing another following an argument and fight in the hallway.
What we know:
Police responded to a shooting call around 11 p.m. on Jan. 30 at an apartment complex in the 400 block of S. Beckley Avenue in North Oak Cliff.
Officers found the victim inside an apartment with multiple gunshot wounds. First responders arrived and pronounced him dead at the scene.
The suspected shooter was identified as 32-year-old Devin Paxton.
Fight that Led to the Shooting
Surveillance video from the complex shows Paxton and the victim leaving an apartment while fighting in the hallway.
In the video, Paxton puts the victim in a headlock and punches him multiple times in the stomach before pulling out a handgun and shooting him several times.
The victim retreated into the apartment after being shot, but Paxton followed and shot him again.
Paxton then left the scene on foot.
Witness Statements
Two witnesses were inside the apartment when the fight and shooting occurred.
They told police the group had been hanging out when Paxton and the victim began arguing. The victim then punched Paxton, and the fight moved into the hallway.
Both witnesses were in the hallway when the shooting happened.
The Arrest
Paxton turned himself in to police on Feb. 5.
He was booked into the Dallas County Jail and charged with murder.
