The deaths of two Parker County toddlers who were locked in a hot car have been ruled homicides by the medical examiner’s office.
Juliet Ramirez, 2, and Cavanaugh Ramirez, 1, died of hyperthermia from the extreme heat.
Investigators say their mother, Cynthia Randolph, admitted to leaving both children in the car as punishment on a 96 degree day in May. She also told the sheriff’s office she fell asleep for two to three hours after smoking marijuana.
Randolph is charged with injury to a child and still booked in the Parker County jail.
