A crash in Wise County early Tuesday morning killed four people, including three young children.

The crash happened around 5:30 a.m. on Farm Road 1810 at County Road 1340 just east of Chico, according to Texas DPS.

DPS investigators say an SUV was trying to pass another car in a no-passing zone when it collided head-on with an 18-wheeler. All four people in the SUV were killed. The 18-wheeler driver was not seriously hurt.

DPS has since identified the driver of the SUV as 32-year-old Brandy Nicole Price, The passengers in SUV were kids, 3-year-old Avery Mullins, 8-year-old Gracie Mullins and 10-year-old Skyla Price.

Chico ISD Superintendent Randy Brawner posted on social media that two of the victims were students at Chico Elementary School.

Drunken driver sentenced for crash that killed Mesquite family of 3

35-year-old Favian Chavez Garcia, 33-year-old Mayra Pallares and 9-year-old Sofia Garcia of Mesquite were killed.

The investigation is ongoing.
