The Dallas Zoo is now exploding with lights, lanterns, and new immersive experiences. FOX 4's Shannon Murray gives us an inside look at the festivities:

The Brief

    • Dallas Zoo Lights has been extended two extra days.
    • It will now run until Jan. 6.
    • The displays feature more than 2 million lights.

DALLAS - If you haven't been to this year's Dallas Zoo Lights, or want to go again, you'll have some extra time.

What We Know: The Dallas Zoo announced it will be extending its annual event for two extra nights.

The event was originally expected to close after January 4. Now, it will run until January 6.

The displays includes more than 2 million lights that illuminated zoo animals and some larger-than-life decorations.

The theme for the year is Once Upon A Wild Light.
