15-year-old killed in shooting at South Dallas home

A 15-year-old was shot to death Tuesday at a home in South Dallas.

Dallas police said officers found the boy just before 11 a.m. inside the home on Southland Street, which is in a neighborhood near SM Wright Freeway and Elsie Faye Heggins Street.

Moises Huerta Gonzalez died at the hospital a short time later.

Police said they are still investigating.

The suspect, a 16-year-old male, was also shot during the incident.

The suspect was taken into custody and treated at a local hospital.

He will be charged with capital murder.

Police will not release the suspect's name due to his age.
