Dallas murder suspect caught in Van Zandt County after chase

A man is in custody after a deadly shooting and chase early Saturday morning.

The incident started around 4:30 a.m. in southeast Oak Cliff when a man opened fire. Officers responded to the 6400 block of Cinnamon Oaks Drive and found Christepher Mosley, 39, shot inside the location. Mosley was transported to Baylor Hospital where he died from his injuries.

The shooting suspect, Timothy Green, 34, was tracked down on I-20 in Van Zandt County, southeast of Dallas. Police say Green was found with the victim's property.

During an interview, Green confessed to shooting and killing Mosley.

Green has been charged with capital murder and placed in jail on a $500,000.00 bond.
