Dallas ISD rehires Hinojosa
DALLAS - A familiar face is officially re-hired as Dallas ISD's new superintendent.
Dallas ISD's Board of Trustees approved Dr. Michael Hinojosa as the new superintendent by a 6-1 vote on Tuesday night.
Hinojosa has been on the job since July when Mike Miles left. He was the superintendent for six years until he left for a job near Atlanta in 2011.
The Dallas Morning News said his new contract calls for a salary of $335,000 per year. He’ll also get about $200,000 a year from his Dallas ISD pension plan.
