Dallas Animal Services officers crawl through drainage ditch to save kitten
DALLAS - Dallas Animal Services officers managed to rescue a kitten stuck in a drainage tunnel.
People could hear the kitten's cries through a manhole cover in the Wynnewood North neighborhood, south of Downtown Dallas.
DAS officers rescued the kitten by crawling about 80 feet in a drainage ditch.

One officer was able to make her way through a smaller tunnel and got close enough to the 4-week-old kitten to scare her.
The kitten then moved toward the manhole cover and was rescued.
