Chimpanzee at the Dallas Zoo dies at the age of 31
DALLAS - The Dallas Zoo is mourning the loss of one of its chimpanzees.
Kirk died at the age of 31.
The zoo said he suddenly stopped breathing earlier this week.
A team tried to administer life-saving measures, but he had already passed.
A necropsy revealed the death was linked to heart disease.
The zoo said kirk was known for eating carrots and galloping around his habitat.
