Chase suspect takes turn too fast, crashes in Downtown Dallas
DALLAS - A call about a suspicious person in Grand Prairie turned into a police chase and crash in Downtown Dallas.
The chase started just before 5 a.m. Wednesday. The car took off from the Main Street and Loop 12 area headed into Dallas. IT continued across Oak Cliff and into South Dallas.
The suspects were speeding down Cesar Chavez Boulevard and took the exit to Interstate 30. They were going so fast that they couldn’t make the curve on the ramp and rolled over.
Officers used a shield and at least one Dallas officer had his gun drawn as they surrounded the car. They smashed the windows and pulled a man and woman from the car.
The suspects were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The officers were not hurt.
The driver will likely face charges for evading arrest. Police said additional charges are possible depending on the outcome of the investigation.
