Kids panic after bullets fly through bus windows

Video released by the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School District in North Carolina shows the moment a school bus was caught in the crossfire of a shooting with 30 kids on board.

Two kids were cut by flying glass this week when a bullet flew through a school bus window in Charlotte, North Carolina, while there were 30 children on board.

The bus driver repeatedly told the kids to remain calm as she reported the shooting, at one point raising her hand to thank God that it wasn’t much worse.

Police told WBTV the bus wasn’t the intended target. The bullet struck the bus when two men were fighting over drugs. None of the students were struck by gunfire, but two students were treated for injuries from shattered glass, authorities said.

The school district told WBTV that the 30 students on board are students at a local middle school.

Two men, a 21-year-old and a 20-year-old, were arrested in connection with the shooting.
