Cedar Hill superintendent resigns after being placed on leave
Just days after being placed on unpaid leave, the superintendent of Cedar Hill ISD resigned suddenly.
Dr. Billy Snow told school district leaders that he is undergoing medical treatment, which he wishes to keep private.
District leaders had just launched an investigation into Snow for possible violations of the district's "statement of values,” but did not release any further details. However, they did say that it was not a criminal issue and did not involve minors.
“It has been my honor and pleasure to serve the leaders, staff and scholars of Cedar Hill ISD,” Snow said in a statement. “I’m so proud of the work we have done together and the progress made in such
a short time. I have absolutely no doubt that the district will continue to do great things in the future. I ask for your prayers as I continue to address my health concerns.”
The district has now dropped their investigation after learning of Dr. Snow's resignation.
