Body found in White Rock Lake identified as missing Grand Prairie man

A body found in White Rock Lake Sunday morning has been identified as Alfonso Hernandez, who was reported missing with Weltzin Garcia last week.

After being found by a passerby, the body was sent to the Medical Examiner's Office, where it was identified as Hernandez.

There was no apparent trauma easily visible on the body, according to police.

Police are still searching for Garcia.

A Dallas Fire-Rescue boat capsized while trying to recover the body, but no injuries were reported

No further details have been released at this time.

On Feb. 9, police used boats and sonar to search White Rock Lake for Garcia and Hernandez, who were reported missing on Feb. 5.
