Man, 33, killed after fight with girlfriend's family member, Arlington police say

Arlington Police arrested a suspect who they believe shot and killed a 33-year-old man at an apartment complex over this weekend.

Police were called to the complex on Forest Hollow Lane just before midnight on Saturday.

They found the man with multiple gunshot wounds lying unresponsive on a landing on the second floor.

According to an arrest warrant, the suspect and victim both went to the apartment to go to the swimming pool.

During the time at the pool, the victim and his girlfriend got into a physical altercation.

Witnesses said the victim and one of his girlfriend's family member got into a physical fight before the shots were fired. After the fight was broken up the victim followed the suspect to an apartment on the second floor. Multiple shots were fired shortly after.

No arrests made in 140 mph chase through Dallas, DSO says

Dallas County Sheriff's deputies are looking to arrest a driver who led them on a chase that at times hit speeds of 140 miles per hour.

Arlington Police announced Monday that they arrested 26-year-old Catderian Strong in connection to the shooting.

He was arrested at a home in Fort Worth and taken into custody on Sunday, according to police.

Police have not released the victim's name at this time.

Strong has been charged with murder.
