Man killed in high-speed crash in Allen, police investigating

Allen, TX - Allen police are investigating a multi-vehicle crash that left one man dead early Sunday morning.

The crash occurred shortly after midnight near East Bethany Drive and Whitman Drive.

According to investigators, Taranjeet Singh was driving a Dodge Challenger eastbound on Bethany Drive at a high rate of speed when he collided with a Honda CR-V traveling in the same direction. Singh lost control of the vehicle, which veered off the road and rolled into a nearby creek.

Singh was found unresponsive inside the car and pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Honda CR-V stayed at the scene and cooperated with authorities.

The investigation is ongoing.
