DENTON, Texas - A North Texas man was killed Tuesday after a set of wheels flew off an 18-wheeler on Interstate 35 in Denton.
The accident happened around 2 p.m. on I-35 near Mayhill Road. Police said a set of two wheels from a truck on the northbound side of the interstate came loose from the trailer.
The wheels stayed together, flew over the concrete divider and hit a motorcyclist that was heading southbound on the interstate.
The victim on the motorcycle was identified as 23-year-old Brady Burger of Sanger. He was killed by the impact.
The wheels also hit a car but the two people inside were not hurt.
Police said the truck’s driver did stop to help.
