Accused murderer caught after high speed chase

A high speed chase ended with the arrest of an accused murderer.

The car being driven by 34-year-old Romaun Wilkerson was spotted by Dallas county sheriff’s deputies just after midnight Sunday near the Ellis County line.

The chase ended around 1:00 a.m. Sunday outside the Dallas County Jail.

Wilkerson is charged with the murder of 32-year-old Lawrence Lise.

According to police, Lise and his brother, Montego went to confront Wilkerson at his home in southeast Oak Cliff Friday afternoon.   

Wilkerson is a mechanic and the dispute was over Montego Lise car. Wilkerson pulled a gun and shot the brothers, police said.

Montego Lise suffered a minor gunshot wound.
