7 arrested in complex Irving kidnapping case

Irving police have arrested seven people for holding others against their will at what was supposed to be a drug rehab facility.

Police said someone called 911 to report seeing a man running from a house on Penn Street Wednesday. The caller said three other men were chasing him.

Responding officers found several adult men inside the house. They claimed they had been physically abused and restrained during their stay.

Six of the alleged rehab facility’s employees were arrested for aggravated kidnapping. Another person was arrested for unlawful restraint.

Detectives are still interviewing potential victims and witnesses. They called the case complex and complicating.
