Four Dallas firefighters are in the hospital after their engine drove off an elevated roadway and landed on the DART tracks below.

Four Dallas firefighters were hospitalized after their engine slid off an elevated roadway and landed on the DART tracks below.

The accident on the I-345 Expressway, which connects I-45 and US-75, and South Good Latimer happened just after 6 a.m.

Dallas police say the fire engine hydroplaned, lost control and went off the bridge.

All four DFR members are said to be stable at Baylor University Medical Center.

A highway sign fell across the roadway as a result of the crash.

Parts of I-345, South Good Latimer, Routh Street and the DART tracks were closed.

DART says service will continue to be impacted on Monday morning into the afternoon and possibly later depending on the damage.

Dallas Fire-Rescue says three of the four injured firefighters have been released from the hospital.
