2025 New Year's Babies: Meet the first babies born in North Texas this year
DALLAS - While North Texas ushed in 2025 with fireworks and midnight toasts, hospitals across the area proudly welcomed the first babies of the year.
Here are some of the New Year’s babies born in Dallas-Fort Worth area hospitals.
Baby Michael Tripp Albaugh was the first baby born at Baylor Scott and White All Saints Medical Center in Fort Worth at 1:42 a.m.
Baby Michael Tripp Albaugh and his mother, Kimberley, are doing fine and both healthy.
His parents, Kimberley and Michael, said their firstborn came earlier than his expected due date on Jan. 14.
The new family believes the new year will come with a lot of learning and new experiences that they look forward to.

"There's no better way to start the new year with a whole new life we are going to take home with us. We not only get a fresh year but a fresh little dude to learn completely new things this year. Talk about New Year's resolutions. We don't need it. Everything is going to be new to us and we're just going to figure it out," said mom, Kimberley Gonzalez.
Baby Michael is not a junior despite having his father's name. The family said they are carrying on a tradition of passing down the name without it and having a unique middle name with a shared letter T initial.
Amy Brynn weighed in at 5 pounds, 5 ounces, while her brother, Christoper Bennett, weighed 7 pounds.
Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth welcomed a set of twins early on Jan. 1, 2025. Baby girl Amy Brynn and her brother, Christopher Bennett, were born at 1:29 a.m. to parents Amy Christian and Mason Skillern.
Cristain Alcala weighed 6 pounds, 15 ounces.
At Texas Health Harris Methodists Hospital Southwest Fort Worth, parents Cristian and Cassandra Alcala welcomed a baby boy named Cristian Alcala at 1:58 a.m.
Baby Oliver Kennedy weighed 5 pounds, 4 ounces.
A baby boy named Oliver was the first born at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Alliance in North Fort Worth to parents Errin and Jeremy Kennedy.
Baby Winnie Abadia weighed 8 pounds, 7 ounces.
Parents Katrina and Brian Abadia welcomed a baby girl named Winnie at 7:46 a.m. at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Plano.
Baby Alberto Azael Adame weighed 8 pounds, 2 ounces.
Baby Alberto Azael Adame was the first to arrive at Methodist Dallas Medical Center just after 2 a.m. His parents, Yamileth Oviedo and Josue Adame, are from Wills Point, which is 50 miles east of Dallas.
Baby Alayah Kaylani Robinson weighed 7 pounds, 2.3 ounces.
And first-time parents Hailey Guerra and Ra'von Robinson of Midlothian welcomed baby girl Alayah Kaylani Robinson at 2:46 a.m. at Methodist Mansfield Medical Center.
