18-wheeler crashes off ramp in Irving

IRVING, Texas - A jackknifed 18-wheeler dangled off of a ramp in Irving on Thursday morning.

Slick road conditions cause 18-wheeler crash

What we know:

An 18-wheeler nearly crashed off the eastbound ramp from State Highway 114 to 183 east.

Irving police say the slick roads caused by Thursday's wintry mix caused the 18-wheeler to lose control.

A photo from the department shows the semi off the edge of the ramp and against a pole.

Irving PD says that there were no injuries reported in connection to the crash.

The accident has since been cleared.

What's next:

While many areas have seen snow, conditions are expected to get worse overnight.

Much of the wintry mix we have seen will transition to snow on Thursday night.

Law enforcement has asked for people to stay home and off the roads if they can.
