DALLAS - A 14-year-old boy was shot late Sunday night in Downtown Dallas.
Police said a popular club hosted an end-of-summer bash, which brought a large number of teens to the area.
Investigators say the teen was outside Club Vivo around 11:30 p.m. with a group of people when they heard people fighting.
The fight broke out across the street from the club in a park on Pacific Avenue.
Someone pulled out a gun and fired, hitting the 14-year-old.
The boy was taken to Children’s Hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the arm.
What’s unclear is if the alternation stemmed from something that happened inside the club.
Dallas police believe the 14-year-old was an innocent bystander and not the intended target.
The shooter left the scene and still has not been arrested.
Dallas police have no suspect description.
It’s also unclear if only one person fired gunshots or multiple people.
