LIVE | Countdown to kickoff for England vs. Croatia at Dallas Stadium

There's another big World Cup match at Dallas Stadium in Arlington today as England takes on Croatia.

There is a lot of history between these two groups. In the semi-final of the World Cup in Moscow, the Croatian team took out the giant England 2-1 in extra time. England went home just short of competing for a title.

The two teams have met since then, with England beating Croatia in their last two competitive matches.

And this time around, England is favored to win. The squad, led by superstar Harry Kane, won all eight of its qualifying matches without allowing a single goal. Many experts predict they’ll at least make it to the quarterfinals.

Croatia, a nation of just 4 million people, has performed like a goliath at the World Cup, with six trips and three podium finishes. That includes a third-place finish in 2022 and a loss in the final to France in 2018.

Luka Modric is the unquestioned leader at 40 years old. The former Ballon d'Or winner – an honor only given to the world's best players – is ready for his 199th career national team appearance.

He might be on the field with FC Dallas superstar goalscorer Petar Musa, whose 12 goals in Major League Soccer so far this season are tied with Lionel Messi.
