Police chase robbery suspects in U-Haul truck

DALLAS - Dallas police arrested three men and are looking for a fourth after a robbery and chase overnight.

Officers responded to a call about a robbery at a 7-Eleven on Ross Avenue and Field Street in Downtown Dallas around 4 a.m. Tuesday. Witnesses said four suspects took off in a U-Haul truck.

Police later spotted a truck matching that description near Garland and Peavy roads. They tried to stop it but the driver took off.

The suspects led police on a chase onto Interstate 30 into South Dallas. It ended when the truck went into a small creek and all four men jumped out.

The Dallas Police Department’s Air One helicopter helped officers quickly capture three of the men. The fourth remains at large.

The investigation is ongoing. Detectives believe the suspects may be responsible for several robberies, police said.
