Authorities found the body of a missing woman after pulling a truck out of the water in the Kaufman County city of Kemp.

SKY 4 captured images of the truck on a muddy bank of the pond near the intersection of Highway 175 and State Highway 274 Tuesday morning. A sheet was covering the truck’s windows.

The Kemp Police Department said officers found the vehicle submerged in the water while searching for a missing woman in her 40s.

Family members told police she was last seen leaving her sister’s house Sunday in her Chevrolet Colorado. After she didn’t show up for work Monday morning, they reported her missing and worked to ping the truck’s location.

Investigators are now trying to determine how the truck ended up in the water. The area where it was found is just beyond a “T” intersection.
