Police looking for suspect in Southlake jewelry store robbery
SOUTHLAKE, Texas - Southlake police are looking for a man who robbed a Zales outlet store Tuesday afternoon.
The robbery suspect went into the store on East Southlake Boulevard and left twice, possibly because it was too crowded. When he showed up for the third time he had a gun and said, “You know what this is?”
Police said the store’s employees complied with the suspect’s demands and filled up a “bag” he gave them that was made out of a white t-shirt. After taking jewelry, he took off in a four-door sedan that was being driven by a woman.
Police described the man as a black male in his 50s with a slight white beard. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a black leather jacket and a black hat.
They’re hoping someone will recognize surveillance photos of him and call in a tip.
“Were you in the area at this time? Did you see anything that might help us get this bad guy locked up? Do you remember a license plate, or do you know him? Did a family member come home and give you like way too many diamond oriented gifts?”
