Carrollton PD: Argument at JV high school football game leads to shooting

Police say an argument between two adults during a JV football game at Hebron High School in Carrollton led to a shooting in the parking lot.

During the third quarter of the JV game against Irving Nimitz at Hebron High School Thursday night, police say two men in the home stands started arguing. They continued their argument outside into the parking lot. That's when one man pulled out a gun and shot the other man, police said.

The victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition. The gunman was arrested at the scene.

No students were involved, police said. There were no other reported injuries.

The names of the gunman and the victim have not been released.
