Fundraiser supports fallen Fort Worth officer's family
FORT WORTH, Texas - Money was raised Sunday for the family of fallen Fort Worth police officer Garrett Hull.
Organizations like Brotherhood for the Fallen and Back the Blue gathered at the Landmark Bar and Kitchen for live music and a silent auction. They also sold t-shirts with Officer Hull’s name on them.
Officer Hull was shot and killed earlier this month during an undercover operation. He leaves behind a wife and two daughters.
“It’s great to see a community come together. No matter what we face, the community is about taking care of each other and that’s a proven fact today,” said Officer Buddy Calzada with the Fort Worth Police Department.
The organizations said 100 percent of the proceeds will go to Officer Hull’s family.
