Free new skate park opens in Plano

After years of planning and work, Plano’s first skate park is open.

The grand opening was rained out but the free new park is now open to the public.

It’s located off Coit Road and West Spring Creek Parkway in the southeast corner of Carpenter Park.

The new park has one of the largest bowls in the area as well as variously sized ramps, rails, stair sets and ledges.

It’s open during regular park hours from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m.
