Fire rips through Ferris home

Firefighters from several cities were called to battle a house fire near the Dallas-Ellis County border Saturday  night.

First responders from Hutchins, Wilmer, and Combine worked to put out the fire on Malloy Bridge Road near Interstate 45 in Ferris.

A woman and her family were driving by the home when they noticed the flames and called 911.

No one was at the home when the fire started.
