Family reunited with dog stolen by thieves during Christmas gift burglary

A Dallas family has been reunited with their dog, stolen during a home burglary.

FOX4 first told you last weekend about the Alvarado family and their American Pocket Bully, Smokey.

Diana Alvarado came home from work last week to find her window pried open, with Smokey and their presents gone.

The family says Smokey's disappearance was by far the worst part.

Family members and others pitched in for a reward totaling $2,000 and they found out Friday he had been returned.

The exact details of how they got Smokey back still isn’t known.

Police are still searching for the suspect or suspects who broke into their home.
