Driver killed in fiery 18-wheeler crash on I-20

TERRELL, Texas - A driver died in a fiery crash involving two 18-wheelers Tuesday night in Kaufman County.

State troopers said the crash happened around 10 p.m. on Interstate 20 east of Terrell. Investigators believe a FedEx truck slowed down because of traffic and a second 18-wheeler slammed into it.

The FedEx truck caught fire. The other truck rolled over and also caught fire.

The FedEx driver was able to escape but the other driver died. His name has not yet been released.

That part of westbound I-20 was closed for several hours because of the investigation and cleanup.
