Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott's dog quarantined after biting neighbor
One of Cowboys QB Dak Prescott’s dogs bit a neighbor on Monday, according to Frisco officials.
Prescott was not home at the time of the incident, which was just before 11 a.m. Monday in the area of Hilton Head Lane and Princess Caroline Court.
A homeowner called officers when they saw a loose dog fighting in their front yard with the homeowner’s dog. A second dog belonging to Prescott was also present.
The homeowner was bitten by one of Prescott’s dogs when they tried to break up the fight. The homeowner was taken to a nearby hospital by paramedics with non-life threatening injuries.
After the dog bite, the Frisco police officers and Frisco Animal Services were able to capture both of the dogs. It was at that point they determined the dogs belonged to Prescott.
Police have not specified if it was Legend, a 90-lb Pitbull, or Goat, a 15-lb French Bulldog.
Detectives were able to determine that the dogs escaped from Prescott's home through an unsecured door. Video from SKY4 shows a dog run and kennel located on the side of Prescott's house.
Frisco police said as of Tuesday morning, Prescott has not been charged. The offense "dog at large" is a Class C misdemeanor, punishable for a fine of up to $500.
It’s too soon to know what will happen to the dog that did the biting after the 10-day quarantine is up.
