Dallas ambulance involved in rollover crash
DALLAS - A Dallas Fire-Rescue ambulance rolled over after it was hit by a car early Monday morning.
Police said the ambulance was taking a patient to a Dallas hospital around 2:30 a.m. It went through a stop sign at the intersection of Worth Street and Haskell Avenue and was hit by a car.
The impact caused the ambulance to flip and land on its side.
The paramedics were shaken but not seriously hurt. Their passenger suffered minor injuries related to the crash and was taken to the hospital in another ambulance. The driver of the car was not hurt.
Even though the ambulance had its lights and sirens on at the time of the crash, police said it appears it was at fault for not making sure the intersection was clear.
No charges are expected.
