Boy who had his bike destroyed gets a new one thanks to Irving detective

IRVING, Texas - Irving police went above and beyond the call of duty to surprise a child with a new bike.

Detective Josh Smith was working on a case where someone destroyed a boy’s bicycle.

The detective then made it his mission to see if he could get Nick a new one.

He, along with the help of Team Texas for Families, accomplished that mission in donating a bike and helmet to Nick.
