Suspected drunken driver kills passenger in Far North Dallas crash: police
DALLAS - Dallas police say a suspected drunken driver killed his passenger after he lost control and crashed.
The crash happened Monday around 2 a.m. near Arapaho and Preston roads in Far North Dallas after a suspected drunk driver lost control and crashed.
Police say 24-year-old Daniel Castaneda was drunk when he was speeding, lost control and crashed his SUV into a light pole.

Castaneda’s passenger, 22-year-old Christopher Sanchez, was ejected from the SUV and died at the scene.
Police say Castaneda tried to run away but was quickly caught.
Castaneda is charged with intoxication manslaughter and collision involving death. He was taken to the Dallas County jail.
