ABOUT FACE! Forecast has changed significantly in last few hours. We still get "lower temps", but now much "lower rain chances".
The strong disturbance that moved through overnight will push across the area this morning with sinking motion of air on the back side. Heaviest rain will be east/south of the MPLEX, with just lingering showers early. The afternoon will see some breaks in the clouds to warm us into the upper 80s with just a scattering of showers (30%) ...especially east.
Drier air will filter in overnight and last through Wednesday now. Even though we can't completely rule out showers (20%) , coverage will be minimal and highs will inch to 90 Tuesday and low 90s Wednesday.
Later this week, stronger NW flow will continue to bring storms to Oklahoma and building heat to Texas. That means at least some storm chances (30%) for areas from DFW north and highs back into the mid 90s through Saturday. There are indications of higher shower chances developing by Sunday into early next week...but as we have seen, any subtle pattern change can alter rainfall forecasts so stay tuned!
