Carroll ISD addresses Holocaust controversy at latest school board meeting

Dozens filed into the school board to speak just days after a Carroll ISD administrator was recorded suggesting to teachers if they have a book on the Holocaust then they should offer a book with an opposing view. While some in attendance Monday night didn’t necessarily agree with the example given, they took the time to praise the person who gave it. Others called for the administrator to be fired.

First responders are watching for a slew of weather-related incidents, including accidents on the roads to the potential of flash flooding and high water emergencies. One of the main things they want to warn people about is driving through standing or moving water.

Carroll ISD voted unanimously to end its mask mandate at the end of the school year. But a group of very vocal parents wanted the mandate stopped now, claiming masks are medical devices that were scaring their children.
